Our primary services involve taking inventory of all salvageable contents, documenting total loss, removing the contents from the property, cleaning and deodorizing the contents, and then holding the contents in secure storage.

Step one, initial assessment. Upon arriving at the commercial or residential property, we first meet with the insurance adjuster and property owner to assess the damage to all impacted contents. If the adjuster is not present, we make sure to forward a 3D scan of the property to help with establishing the scope. Together, we evaluate and determine which items can and cannot be salvaged. We inform the property owner, the insurance adjuster, and our restoration partner of the scope and an estimated timeline for the process. After the scope has been finalized, we’ll be ready to begin our work.

Step two, inventory and packout. Next, we take inventory of all salvageable and total loss contents. This can be a long and tedious process for some packout companies, but not for Blue Kangaroo Packoutz. With our state-of-the-art technology and software program, we capture a digital record of all inventories. This helps us establish a cleaning estimate and assists us in returning all items to the proper location on our packback. Items for restoration are thoroughly inventoried by room and location, including barcoding, digital photography, and entering each item into our electronic catalog system. Items are then carefully packed using packaging materials professionally loaded and transported to our facility for processing.

Step three, processing. When items arrive at our facility, we digitally scan all contents from the job into secure locations in our warehouse to ensure accurate tracking of all belongings and personal property through our inventory system. We can also track the location of every item we pack out from each job within our warehouse. This ensures that our customer’s items are kept safe, secure, and well organized throughout the time we have them in our possession until they’re ready to return to our customer’s property.

Step four, storage. Blue Kangaroo Packoutz stores items in secure vaults or designated warehouse areas to avoid mix up and cross-contamination with other jobs. Your items are safe and secure in our climate controlled facility while they wait to be cleaned or returned to the property. Our sophisticated digital inventory software ensures that each piece of content can be located at any time in our facility.

Step five, production. Once the estimate for restoration is approved, the next step is cleaning and restoring the contents. With some of the most state-of-the-art equipment available in the industry today, Blue Kangaroo Packoutz maintains both hard and soft content cleaning capabilities and can help manage all cleaning requirements for all content related matters. Whether it’s soft content, furniture, electronics, or art. Once all of the items for a project have been cleaned, it’ll be returned to storage and are again accounted for in our digital inventory system. They will remain in storage until the property has been fully repaired and these items are ready to be returned.

Step six, packback and delivery. The packback process essentially reverses the packout process and occurs once you’re ready to reoccupy your property If possible, the same crew that packed out the job also completes the packback. Since each item has been meticulously cataloged with photo documentation, we ensure that every item is returned to its specific location in your home or property. After all, the contents are back in place, we discard all packing materials and clean our way out of the property.
