Step 1: Initial Assessment
During our preliminary assessment, our team assesses the damage to all impacted contents. This allows us to determine which items can and cannot be salvaged, so we can provide an estimated timeline. This timeline keeps all involved parties on the same page and helps us restore contents as efficiently as possible.

Step 2: Thorough Inventory
We use state-of-the-art electronic inventory software to ensure all salvageable items are accounted for at all times. During this step, we inventory all items by room and location, which includes barcoding, digital photography, and entering each item into our electronic catalog system with real-time tracking for added transparency.

Step 3: Detailed Packout
Once all the salvageable items have been logged in our inventory system, we carefully pack items using new packing materials or protective wrapping and professionally load and transport them to our facility for any needed restoration and storage. With methods backed by decades of experience, you and your clients can rest assured their belongings are in capable hands.

Step 4: Cleaning & Restoration
Once items arrive at our facility, they are moved to various cleaning and restoration stations to receive the specialized cleaning, drying, and/or deodorization they need. Our team uses industry-leading methods and cutting-edge technology to restore damaged contents to their pre-loss condition.

Step 5: Secure Storage
While in our care, salvageable items are stored in closed vaults or designated areas within our secure, climate-controlled warehouse to prevent mix-ups and cross-contamination.

Step 6: Professional Packback
The packback process is essentially the reversal of the packout process and occurs once a property is restored and ready for use again. We ensure that every item is returned back to its original location in your client’s home or property, and dispose of all packing materials and other debris.

What can I say except the word spectacular. Everything from Amber answering my initial call deep into the evening, to the punctuality and professionalism of the crew that came, really was impressive. I had the pleasure of having Adela, Odalma, José, and Abby performing the work and really noticed the attention to detail that they took in using protection when packing boxes as well as safely manipulating the heavier items while making sure not to damage any walls or themselves. The most impressive thing I think has to be the fact they moved a desk that has been passed down for 3 generations and is made entirely out of oak and did it without giving me a single bit of anxiety! Special shout out to Adela! Not sure if she was the supervisor but she was the one who communicated every little thing with me. Anyone who decides to call this company and is blessed to speak to Amber, best respect her! She’s a star in an empty night sky!

What an amazing service that many don’t know about! Salvaging your STUFF. Now having damage to your home is one thing but realizing your items could potentially be gone also is another realization most are not ready for. Kim at Kangaroo is so informative and the team truly enjoys their job and making sure your stuff is brand spanking new. So when you move back in you have the comfort of your items along with your home. Honestly can’t say more amazing things about this team!
